Ayesha Takia born on April 10th, 1986 in Mumbai is a renowned model and an up-coming Indian actress.
Born to a Gujarati father and a mother, who is of Maharashtrian origin with partial British-ancestry, Ayesha Takia dreamt of becoming an actress since her childhood. Right from the age of four Ayesha began modeling and to date, the twenty-one year old model has appeared in more than 50 ads. Her famous one-liner was "I am a Complan Girl" in a Complan ad campaign. As a fifteen-year-old bubbly chirpy teen, Ayesha appeared in Falguni Pathak's hit musical video, "Meri Chunar".
When "Shake It Daddy", a remix of Hindi old hits got released, the film industry sat up and took notice of this beautiful talented actress. Soon film offers started coming her way and she made her debut in 2004 with "Taarzan: The Wonder Car". Her performance was widely appreciated and she coolly walked away with the Filmfare Best Debut Award. Her portrayal of young widow's life-style in a Rajasthani traditional joint family in "Dor" {2006} has won critical acclaim and she bagged 'Zee Cine Critics Award for Best Actress'.
Apart from these two movies, her performance was greatly appreciated in several movies in which she acted. She has acted in more than ten movies as of 2007.
